It's very dark in Portland at 7am, a time when I am usually at my desk working already. However today I drove 20 blocks from my house (normally I would have walked) and attended a free Laughter Yoga class for 1/2 an hour.  It was invigorating and very beneficial for my brain and outlook for the day.

Now I realize that I have been teaching other people to laugh spontaneously for 4 years now in Corporations, Colleges and Association Events plus I even have a laughter class I am doing this evening.  But this morning it was really enjoyable to meet half a dozen strangers as the pupil and just focus solely on reaping the benefits.

So here they are:  I feel like I worked out, my blood is flowing to my brain, I'm not thinking about any problems or issues I did when I went to bed last night or this morning when I woke up.  My stomach muscles got a workout and I made some new friends.
Laughter Yoga simply helps you focus on the moment, which is all we have when you really get down to the crux of your life.  With the difficult economy these days- living one moment at a time is helpful to remain positive and focus on the power of laughter!

Last week I had the pleasure of running a private laughter yoga session for a wonderful family here in Portland at their beautiful home.  We had 11 members of the family laughing for about 45 min.  The youngest was 10 and the oldest (hmmm) over 55.  I was so captivated by the love they had for each other as a group together, that when the father invited me out to see one of his sons Keegan perform afterwards with his band- I rallied and went out to a smokey pub at 9:30pm on a Monday night and really enjoyed the band.  Keegan even mentioned on stage to his audience how the laughter yoga lifted his mood earlier in the evening.
So this motivational humorist, and certified laughter yoga leader felt compelled to share just one more reason to live your life laughing.  It just makes you feel good!
