It’s time to laugh!  Yes, the news is grim- but we still have our perspectives to work with every day.  Are you clothed, housed, do you have good friends, food to eat?  Sometimes it just gets that simple.  If you have excess, help your neighbors, strangers, it’s time to reach out. It’s a crazy time, and most importantly we have the opportunity to help others when they need it most.
I have companies contact me all the time to ask me what I suggest to boost morale.  Of course their budget is tight and they want something affordable.  What about taking a break and just laughing on purpose?  For no good reason other than it feels good.  Laughter releases endorphins in the body, sends oxygen to your brain and can CHANGE PERSPECTIVE ON ANY SITUATION!!
First try to laugh silently, you will find your head bobbing and your abs tighten.  Then close the door where you are and laugh loudly as you bend over like you are laughing at the funniest joke you have every heard.  Tighten your abs when you do this and you will get a great workout.  If you do this with friends, laughing together is very stimulating and enervating and LAUGHTER IS ALSO FREE     ?   ?LAUGHTER NEEDS TO BE PART OF OUR ECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGE
Like 71,000 jobs being lost in one day.  This fact is insane, whether it has effected you or not, it is stressful for all of us if we are sensitive souls and the trickle down effect will be felt until a new stimulus package trickles down to the people who need it most.??Laughing is a stress relief and laughing together is fun.
If you need something to start with, share my recent travel story from Nashville last week!
I had some inner ear thing going on, so I had vertigo.  Every time I leaned to fast in one direction I fell over.  Then I hurt my heel and Achilles tendon and had a heel spur at the same time.  So I can’t wear a shoe and I can’t walk very well and have to travel through a few airports home.  I break down and order a wheel chair for myself.  This was a good move, until the second airport when I had a layover and got restless in my chair and wanted some food.  I leaned over to get my wallet out of my bag and the vertigo took over and I fell out of my chair.  I was laughing so hard that…I cried tears of joy.
Anyhow some kind gate neighbors helped me up and I got my balance back and hopped over to the food court and hopped back and stayed put until the flight.
I have a new found respect for wheelchair assistance in airports.  I am going to volunteer to help people the next time I see them stranded- which is what the airport personnel does when they are very busy.  As long as they don’t think I am wheel jacking, my services should be welcomed.
Laugh on.?Gail
